How's the plugs look as it comes out of the bog, wet/dry/color?

ProxR800 02-23-2009 04:16 PM

I only have a cd for the Z440 and i have tryed all of the troubleshooting on that but i still cannot find the problem. It almost feels like something is holding the rpm's back(electrical)

When was the last time you cleaned the carbs?

My zr 500 is doing a similar thing. I have already posted "2000 zr 500 problem" before I saw your post, but it sounds like the same problem. If I figure it out I will let you know. I was told to disconect the electrical wires that go to the sides of the carbs for the magnet pick up in the slides. The guy said that there has been lots of trouble with them.
I will try this and let you know.

I unplugged the wires going to the magnets in the carbs and tied them into each other, on the carb side of the wiring, and it runs great. Maybe give this a try

I have the same exact problem with my 03 sno pro as well. I did just change the jets to 310's, haven't tried them out. I had stock jets in there, which I thought were the right ones, however, the stock jets are meant for race gas. I'll try it out and let you know.
