Possible 12" of white gold

Winter storm targets Twin Cities; as much as 12" possible?
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for Saturday, with the "axis of heaviest snow" running through the Twin Cities.

The season's first winter storm could drop as much as 12 inches of snow across the Twin Cities area on Saturday, forecasters said Friday.

The Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for Saturday for much of southern Minnesota -- from Worthington in the southwest up through the Twin Cities area and into northwestern Wisconsin.

The watch area could see 5 to 8 inches of snow, the Weather Service said, with the "axis of heaviest snow" running right through the Twin Cities. But that could change depending on the storm track.

Meteorologist Paul Douglas said Friday afternoon that the latest computer models showed 8 to 12 inches of snow falling across much of the metro area on Saturday. He said the rain-snow boundary was likely to be right over St. Paul, meaning higher snow amounts in the west metro and less to the east.

For Friday, the Twin Cities area is likely to see just rain later in the day, with a high of 42 degrees. The rain will turn to snow overnight, with a low of about 33. For Saturday, the forecast is for snow with a high of 37.

rock2324 11-12-2010 02:38 PM

Not sure whats up with the oil/gas mix dripping out the exhaust......can only believe its rich from the warm weather??????first inj. sled so not sure what to think.

Gotmud 11-12-2010 03:34 PM

It's leaking from between the Y pipe and the pipe? Get it good and hot and it'll stop. Remember, I just put that pipe back on. It didn't leak before, so I think that ring just needs to get hot again to seat itself.

rock2324 11-12-2010 03:47 PM

If we get 12" of snow the Dragon will get warmed up...lol

Rubi 11-12-2010 04:25 PM

What a waste of snow. Not much use in the Big City.

rock2324 11-12-2010 04:33 PM

DCUBA too good for the cities?:stirpot:

Mookie Brown 11-12-2010 04:34 PM

Rubi - you DCUBA whiners always say that whenever the snow falls in the big city, but not there. I happen to like snow at my house too! I think you've got snow envy. Of course, it won't matter much since highs are headed into the 40's again next week and the ground is still warm.

Rubi 11-12-2010 04:40 PM

What do you do with snow in The Cities? Ski down the freeway? Ride braapers in Loring Park?

blue avenger 11-12-2010 07:30 PM

Just curious on why 410 in the center?.... Buddy of mine is running the 2.5 in his and works well. I can't remember , do you have the stock 10ALs for weight?

blue avenger 11-12-2010 09:10 PM

I have almost always done that on triples, center leaner, seems to work

10ALs

Rubi 11-12-2010 11:10 PM

Hey, they aren't backing down at all on this forecast. Now it's a Winter Storm Warning!

Remember, if there aren't pictures it didn't happen. (Wait, I don't think I really ascribe to that rule at all?)

blue avenger 11-13-2010 07:52 AM

wet slop that plugged the roof drain on the apt flat roof. 4" deep up there. coming inside and down the walls. 4 apartments with wet floors and ceilings.

Mookie Brown 11-13-2010 08:00 AM

07:30 and it's 'nuking' outside. Ok, really it's just snowing steadily, but compared to 68 degrees and bright sun on Monday, relatively speaking, it's nuking. Probably 2" in the grass and the blacktopped surfaces are just starting to see snow stick. I suppose I'll try to take a picture later if I can find the camera.

Powersledder 11-13-2010 09:43 AM

Trying to snow here, but it's melting as soon as it falls

rock2324 11-13-2010 10:13 AM

About 6" of wet sloppy snow and still falling.....

A little oil dripping out the exhaust canister is normal for off season.

Anyone done knock down before? I've got a good texture gun and I've done that a few times with increasing success. I would have to go get a plexiglass tool, but I'm mainly wondering how long you need to wait after you shoot your load on the wall before knocking it down?

Last coat of mud is on - and as much as I suck, I'm pretty happy with this result. I got a little professional help about a week ago, so he righted a couple of my wrongs. Added the last coat of mud today.

Here's a few pictures of what's going on in Mookieland today:

blue avenger 11-13-2010 04:38 PM

oh wait you slipped in so snow all is well!
