Startin To Look Like Lst Year! :(

This sucks big time. If we get no snow this year, fugit, I'm buying an Argo.

lol! dont give up hope. around here in the 90's everyone had a sled because it snowed like crazy, as the snow went away they all got rid of there sleds. now when we get a good snowfall you bump into them people and they talk how they miss it.

You're in Alaska, and it's only November. Do you really fear not having snow????

TheKuskokid 11-21-2010 03:56 AM

In a word: yes.

Normally I'll put 2750 to 3500 miles per season on my sled. Most guys in the village will do more. Last year: 65. You read that right too. We had no snow. Anchorage was getting like, six FEET, but due to changing weather patterns, we brought in the Pineapple Express. This is a jet of Hawaiian air coming up to make it 50* F in January. Like I said: Argo time. For $20k I can get a pretty nice one with lots of bells and whistles.

Can't sleep, it's 0134 and the temp oputside is +36* F and light rain. Next two days will be in the 40's. All the snow we had, is near gone.

thats weird, when i think of alaska i picture tundra, not lumpy bog with floating houses and warm weather.

Ibreakstuff 11-21-2010 09:05 AM

What is an Argo?

blue avenger 11-21-2010 09:14 AM

only one of the coolist toys ever! http://www.argoatv.com/

they float and you can put a boat moter on for more speed, tracks for mud and snow, heated cab... money is the limit

Slamdry 11-21-2010 10:04 AM

is it a requirement to wear that cool vest and helmet when using the argo??

blue avenger 11-21-2010 10:18 AM

Damn that is messed up. I put a lot more than that last season(750) & we didnt get much snow either. If we dont have a better winter this year I might just sell mine too. Maybe global warming isnt BS like I thought.

blue avenger 01-10-2011 08:00 AM

snow yet?

Slamdry 01-10-2011 09:03 AM

we got shit around here too, just like last year ive worked up a nice 130 miles thus far :( every time it snows we get a decent amount of light fluffy snow and then its either super windy the next day and it blows away or it turns to like 40 degree days and melts it away... Mother nature is a whore....
