First rip of the year carnage.

I took the sled out for a run yesterday on the lake, there was a peice of angle iron frozen in the ice bent like a C under the snow, it caught my ski and threw me about 25'...seperated the shoulder and my leg is black and blue the sled rolled about 3 times.. after pulling the ski out from under the sled this is what it looks like... first ride of the year f.........ck!

at least it is all fixable, no deaths!

Dirty_Harry 01-16-2011 02:07 PM

Glad your ok. It looks like it is fixable.

Yea I think the only real damage is to the ski the hood sits a little funny but evrything else looks straight. after ripping it apart I think I must have turned the ski at the last minute because th gouge is on the outside of the ski.

Damn, I need a new trailing arm, can I buy yours??? Glad you're mostly OK - that's the important part.

MrSnowman 01-17-2011 06:23 PM

Madcow 01-18-2011 06:38 AM

holy hell, why was that iron in the ice? vandals or something dropped out of a fishing truck?

PolarisRich 01-18-2011 11:39 PM

Wow that sucks, as long as your ok everything else can be fixed!
Damn that must have hurt!

TheKuskokid 01-22-2011 07:41 AM

Is it on or near a known trail? Ecofreaks do this stuff occasionally.

Wow looks like one of my threads

I blasted a boulder last year & it bucked me off ski @ full speed. I held onto ski n was able to pull myself back up..thought I had broken both ancles, still hurts to this day.

Polaris_800rmk 02-03-2011 02:04 PM

Surprised no damage to bulkhead or tunnel. Glad to see your ok.
