Well most everyone has already been home a couple days and I see no thread on our trip? Come on guys where the hell are the pictures? I'm by no means a writer like Rubi, Wolfers, or IBS but I'll give it a shot to at least get more pictures going. Anyone with pictures from this trip please, please post them here as we all may like to save a copy.

Well we departed on Tues evening as planned and once we got to Laramie M8stealths truck ended up at the dealer getting repaired. We headed up the fuckin mountain and 2 miles from the cabin my transmission took a crap. Ended up having a Ford reman installed and got an extra day of riding, but it was an expensive extra day lol. Anyways, I didn't let that spoil my weekend too bad and made the best of riding.

I was very very impressed with my Assault Switchy, fucker went up EVERY hill I attempted. I was kind of a tree magnet and most of my stucks were within inches of trees lol.

I don't have too many pictures but I have hours of helmet cam footage to edit and get posted. I'll have that ready in the next couple days and update this thread as I do. In the meantime, here are a few pictures.........

It appears as though most of the pictures I took were stucks or scenery lol.....

More please.

Gotmud 01-19-2011 07:04 PM

I blew my wad lol, editing helmet cam footage now. I do have more scenery pictures.

fgsacts 01-19-2011 07:21 PM

There are some pics in the other Snowies trip thread also. Make sure you bring your helmet cam footage up to the group ride. I want to get copies of all your footage and pics. Keith and Harry, bring yours also. I already got Dangers, M8Stealth's and Enders. Don't rember if Willy or Jay were taking any pics. If yes, please bring them also. I would like to get everyones into one file.

Getting that movie put together this year?

fgsacts 01-19-2011 07:33 PM

Yes I would like to do one for the Snowies trip. I wanted my son to do one for us last year but he got to busy and a little bit of procrastination was thrown in also.

Gotmud 01-19-2011 08:35 PM

Here is the first day condensed down to 6 minutes. Fagsex stars in the middle hitting his tree lol.....

Ibreakstuff 01-19-2011 09:14 PM

Gotmud 01-19-2011 09:30 PM

It was funny shit dude, it didn't look like he even tried to avoid it lol. I should have recorded the trip out, it probably rolled over 6 times lol.

fgsacts 01-19-2011 09:39 PM

I am no Chris Burandt. Still not sure why I hit the tree. My line didn't "feel" as bad as it looks. I am not going to try and justify stupidity.

DirtylilWolfess 01-19-2011 09:41 PM

Ah damnit. Now I need a fucking mountain sled too, and a hauler...and a sweet shovel backpack rig, and money to get me out west.

Gotmud 01-19-2011 10:00 PM

Here is some footage of day 2, the snow is getting better every time we ride......

Wolfie, you'll also need that big 52" color screen GPS.

And by the way, here's the Snowy Range trail map and safety kit file to load (Garmin).

I can read a map.

M8Stealth 01-19-2011 11:33 PM

A map doesn't work very good when you've been off playing in the trees for six hours and its getting dark with 50 mph horizontal snow.

fgsacts 01-20-2011 10:35 AM

A gps is superior to a map in the mountains unless you have a superior sense of direction and a great memory. I am not saying that maps aren't of value, especially in a pinch, but a good gps makes things alot easier. We followed my gps back to the cabins in near white out conditions (on the trail) on Saturday. I am glad I had it.

Sometimes it's easy to get turned around in the mountains on a bluebird day. We've been lucky enough to have never had to ride in white out conditions, but have ridden back in the dark when it's -20, you're worried enough about being able to make it back with having to be concerned about getting lost on the trails. We have guys with maps and GPS and have been glad to have them at one point.

Also, we like to mark spots that are good play areas for the next time.

Do you really talk like this in real life? If you really do, I would have no problem putting a gag in your mouth and ductaping it there permanently.
