Hope it's accurate!! Heading towards the dark blue after New year's!!!!

Slamdry 11-28-2011 08:03 PM

they predicted a doosey of a winter for the north east... its been mid50's and 60s.... bull shit...

Rubi 11-29-2011 12:54 AM

Ummm... it isn't even December yet. We did have some snow by the fifth of December last year. I think the Big City had a big dump then, but we didn't have enough for a real ride. I'll start getting worried in two weeks if we don't have some decent snow down. The long range forecasters say winter may start late, but it will be brutal once it gets here.

captain 11-29-2011 08:16 AM

As long as it starts late, let er be brutal!!!!

Only a couple days away from Dec. and the ground isnt even frozen yet. Its been middle 40's for most of the week in the cities. I hope your predictions are correct for an epic snow season.

Gotmud 11-29-2011 12:36 PM

I read a couple different preseason reports that called for a rough winter with a late start. I'm not getting my panties in a wad until there is no snow on Christmas.

rock2324 11-29-2011 12:52 PM

I am not getting to discouraged yet, but when you consider if we dont have ridable snow till Jan. then we get roughly 14 weeks of ridable snow. Since i have to work all winter(unlike some people on unenjoyment who get to play all winter) then that leaves me with roughly 14 weekends for riding and consider I have to work 3 Sat. and 2 Sundays per quarter than that leaves me with less than 9 weekends of riding.
It would be nice to get somewhat of a good base before the good snows hit.

You sound about as bitter as a fat chick that can't get to the front of the buffet line.

I told my boss I was going to retire early so I could ride more during the winter. He said I should also take up ice fishing, and spearing.

C'mon Wolfie, that comment about Rock was uncalled for! Don't you realize he has been at the front of the buffet line all of his life:stirpot:

Did you ever find a use for those grippers I sent you?

DirtylilWolfess 11-29-2011 11:27 PM

They match the yellow skis I've got. I never got 'em on before the UP ride, but they are all cut down to size.

Gotmud 11-30-2011 09:20 AM

Gotmud 12-04-2011 11:34 AM

Still raining here. I'm also waiting for just enough to lube the hifax lol.

DirtylilWolfess 12-08-2011 08:20 PM

Yesterday or the day before, the sky started dumping snow like a mad fool for an hour. It was wild, and then the sky went all blue and shit. It was sorta disappointing.

westman995 12-14-2011 02:05 PM

Hmm.. Middle of december, and all it does is rain.. This is ridiculous.

blue avenger 12-14-2011 02:19 PM

I know! all this rain could have been a good base!
