Installing a primary clutch..help

So I'm installing a clutch on a 580 ext cat and when I thread my bolt in my crankshaft turns...how do I solve this problem. Any kind of help is greatly appreciated. This is my first time dealing with a clutch prob.

Pull a spark plug and feed a piece of rope in there, it will crush against the piston and allow you to apply pressure to crank. Kinda neat how it works.:thumbss:

I would recommend using some fairly nice or fairly new rope. The kind that won't leave pieces of fibers or huge dirt chunks in your chambers. Just sayin'.

Make sure the piston is close to the top of the stroke before you feed the rope in there. You don't want to snake the end of the rope into any of the ports.

Cotton clothes line rope works best.

I use a bungee cord with the hook cut off and the end melted with a lighter.
