Default Bent clutch puller trying to pull clutch

I got my clutch puller today and when I cranked on it to get the clutch to pop off i felt the puller going in by the clutch not moving. After about 10 turns I backed it out and realized the clutch puller had bent and twisted. I am guessing I'm doing something wrong? Any advice would help

Thanks guys

Almost sounds like it's the wrong puller for the application. Did the tip bend, or what?

Did you lube the threads and end with grease? How long has the primary been on there for?

Some people like to turn the sled on its side, and wrap the puller with plumbers tape, and fill the clutch/crank end with water and use the puller to hydraulically bust it loose.

Grease and oil can be substituted for the water, but is much messier.

Did you buy the cheaper clutch puller? I have heard of the cheaper clutch pullers bending. Get what you pay for
