Default 2014/15 Sledding Pictures Thread

as the title suggests, this is a thread about the 2014/15 season

I'll start off. last spring my elan started being a piece of crap and I've been working on it ever since.

Picture above shows the empty can of starter fluid I used trying to start this POS. Ended up being the spark plug wire being burned by the exhaust and was shorting out causing weak spark.

Got it running, as you can see there's not that much snow and lots of grass around the skis

and this one was from today

Welcome! Stay away from the starting fluid on the 2 strokes.

No pictures yet this year. I had some great hopes with early snow. But no, I put a new fuel pump on the tractor in a T shirt today. Fuckin blows. There's only a foot on the ground in the Yoop and SN Invasion 2015 is in a month.... FOOOK.

Everyone's favorite, working outsite late nights in the dark. Only for my to figure out my ultra engine doesn't fit into my xcr

ohh well, only gives me more reason to make custom parts and a custom sled

some progress, the motor mount plates are off center. the front of the plates measure in the low 12 inches apart and the back measures in the high 12 inches apart, time to get the file!

also i still need to drill that clutch brace thing right by the primary that holds the engine in line under load, the ultra and xlt ones are different sizes so the xlt brace is holding the engine up about 1 inch from where it's supposed to sit.

tried my brothers Pro X 700. has studs, 1.25 track, rumble pack can and is otherwise stock

lol i decided to not go any faster because holding a phone and not being able to work the brakes.

i think it's an 03. i believe those were the ones with the best CDI curve?

edit, found out it was 02 that the cdi curve was the best for the big block 700

I think you had the sled on a track stand. Zeezlebub is impressed though.
