don't ever plan on buying one but doing some parts searching found these and wondered if anyone tried them or knows if there just a load of crap

NO! Usually it's just a jumper wire with a resistor that goes to the baro, mass air, or intake air temp sensor. Leans out 2 strokes and runs 4 strokes rich. If you wanted you could make your own for under a dollar.

Just for convenience sake and the complexity of Powersledders electronics I thought I would just get the module and it has worked very well so far. He now has a very adjustable tuning curve.

if by that you mean I got hosed that's fine sense I will never buy or make one stock is how I like to keep my motors besides an exhaust no need to tune mine imo
