Default Farm Trucks for Sale

I figured I'd post this in case any of you MN guys know some guys that need a good truck.

The first I have for sale is a 2005 International 9200i Factory Day Cab with a ISM 385hp, 10sp, Engine brake, Automatic Oiler, Tilt/tele wheel, cruise, virgin rear tires, 840K. It's a clean southern truck. $18,500.

The second I have is a 90 International 8100 Triaxle with a new 21 ft. Knight's welding box, new Nordic headlift hoist, and new PTO, with rear controls. The truck itself has a Cummins L10 I think it's rated at 280 hp, 7 speed transmission, 255K miles, Peterbuilt 4 bag rear suspension and a steerable 3rd pusher. In the picture I did not have the rims and tires on the pusher axle, but I will get new pictures this weekend when I'm at the farm. $42,000

The triaxle looks mint now, I wish I could throw aluminum wheels on it, but I can't do it and keep the price down. I wrestled the pusher tires onto the rims with my dad this afternoon and did some detailing inside the truck after we used it for a couple loads of seed beans this spring.

for me a straight truck would be perfect for quick field to farm turn around time. plus a straight dump truck like that i could modifie the tail gate so we could use it for haylage and silage. the only down fall is that for selling grain we usually truck 70-120 miles 1 way so it wouldnt be cost effective to use that for selling grain.

We haul most our crop off the field to the elevator, we usually run a semi of our own and have a couple other guys come haul for us. I can have a beet or silage gate made for the box, but thought for where it is goign to be used a 3 piece is best.

the biggest kicker is that carin wouldnt let me spend 5$ without 3 years of research, how are we going to be paid that $5 dollars back? and since if we have an extra nickel it goes into savings so where am i going to get the $5 in the first place.

Just buy it anyway, I'll cut you a helluva deal!

The kick is when selling these trucks no one understands how much money gets stuck into them. I'm making a little money on it, but really am just being compensated for my time. All these parts are expensive and the labor to have the truck stretched was killer.

oh yea, alot of farmers around here learned that as a small farmer you cant afford a truck even if it looks like it on paper. by the time you put in insurance, maintenance and liscense. you have to run the tractor a lot of miles with wagons before you can afford a truck.

annual inspections, expensive tires, high license fees per quarter cost extra. We have 4 semis and have to do 4 or 5 tires a year for the little we use them. 2 only run 1 month a year and maybe get 100 miles.
