Question Wtb: need rear shock.. What's best place to buy?

Want to buy rear shock for my 99 rmk.

What site is best for used or new/ stock or aftermarket rear shock.

My current stock one is pretty much toast. And while I have it all apart I figured do it all.

I'm ordering hyrax from Dennis Kirk, I'm not sure where's best place for rear 8in, n I'm still making parts list of what else I need for 136 swap.

Hifax......

Salvage yards usually have shocks, and some will even rebuild them before they send it out.

Check out Mohawk Salvage, their website sucks so you'll have to call them, but they've got a lot of parts.

Is yours not rebuildable? Personally I'd pay the $35 to get it rebuilt, that is if it's rebuildable lol.

I think it depends on the shock. I know the last couple 90s polaris sleds I've had had Fox shocks. Can you read anything off the shock or is it just all black?

Forget it then lol, be leary purchasing "rebuilt" shocks off ebay. If someone hears fluid they'll say it's rebuilt or recently rebuilt. I've ordered new shocks from Denniskirk but nowhere else. Just make sure to get one that is rebuildable unless you don't plan to keep the sled for more than a couple years.

mohawk wants $100 a shock

i found a few other guys sell them varying in price from 30ea to 75ea....

id like to buy used but have the sound of mind that they are still good.

The main shock i wanna replace is the rear... then maybe center and fronts.
