The U cooler is spendy, mine was $375. I never did weigh mine, I was so excited to get it I went up and installed it right away and weighing it slipped my mind. One selling point on then is they are lighter than stock, they are also supposed to cool better than stock because the of the aluminum they are made of disipates heat better.

That and because of the length of them, they actually have more cooling surface than stock too.

yeah, fabcraft says they can save almost 15 lbs, because you can get rid of the other coolers? but thats on a mountain sled. for trail sled you cant have enough water.

Well its all done except for fluids and the Got Speed Racing clutch kit. Once the clutch kit gets here I will be able to start the bitch up and maybe take it for a few pulls.

Here are a few pics

Well I couldnt wait for the clutch parts to get here to start it, so I went and got some 110 today and threw on a couple clutches I had laying around.

On another note, madcow said my clutch parts should be here by Friday, so I should be able to get it out this weekend.

Well I got my clutch kit installed today and took it out and tested it. The place I testing it wasnt very long. It was butt ass cold out so I only took a few runs, but I am turning too many RPM's, it instantly pegs the tach at 10000 RPM's. So I am going to put some 10 weights in (51 gram) to try and get my R's down if that doesnt work I have a set of 10AL (53 gram) weights that I will try too. Supposed to be butt ass cold again tomorrow so it might be a few days until I get to try it again.

On another note this motor pulls HARD! I wish I could have made longer pulls but I just didnt have the room and was scared of the RPM's I was turning. I am excited to see what this sled will do once I get the clutching dialed in.

sweet light! we put one on a 04 switchback a couple years ago. polaris put the brake light on the bumper so every time you wanted to lift the rear end you had to watch out for the brake light! the nice part about it for the switchback is it fit perfect into where you see the triangles on the rack at the back.

i think it would finish off the back end of your sled if you could find that bracket or make one. just a thought!
