That was my point vert!! the way todays "snocross" sleds are built the center of gravity sits so much higher than the sleds of "yesterday". The point I was trying to make is this.....when I was driving truck I could take an off ramp ( the kind that curves back around under the exit) at 25 MPH with a load of flat steel that weighed 48,000 lbs but was only about a foot high on the deck of my flatbed, with a load of lumber that weighed 30,000 lbs but was 8 feet high, that same exit became about a 15 MPH ramp!!!
when your buddy gets the triple edge built you'll have to post a pic or vid!!!!
Ahhhh, I mistook your meaning on the NASCAR part. I agree with ya on the higher C.O.G. on newer sleds. To me it sucks ontrail, but get it in the steep-n-deep and it works great. I had to learn to ride the Edge all over again this year because of riding the new Phazer all last year. Now I get on a buddies XP and it rides like the Phazer did.
If he can get it all together before spring thaw hits I'll get pics and vids for sure.(should be doable with all the snow we got up high)

Well I finally raced my rxl tonight. We raced quite a few times across untouched fields and it depended on who hooked up better. We kept trading by sled lenghts. We even switched sleds and the same result.
We found about a 1/4 mile run that was kinda packed and tried that, same result. It all depended on which sled got better traction. And they both kept pulling to the left on launch.
Now from 15-20 mph take off was another story. The dragon would leave the rxl and there was no catch up. Every time. :p
Short race the dragon would laugh at the rxl, but longer than 700 foot I'm pretty sure the dragon would catch up and slowly pass. The ride of the dragon takes the award, made the rxl feel like a chuck wagon.
Hopefully he rides with us tomorrow if your coming up bryan. You are riding this weekend aren't ya?

Yup, coming up with a buddy so he can seat the rings on the XLT again. Not sure if I'm coming up tomorrow (saturday) night... I don't know if I wanna bug my grandpa or not. My buddy isn't coming up till early sunday morning (which I might just have him ride with me).
