Default Idle Ajuster

There is a screw on the carbs and i looked it up and its called the idle adjuster it just seems to change the air flow of the sled all together is this right?

It changes the idle settings, which is why it is called the idle adjuster. Screwing it in or out leans or richens the air fuel mixture a little at idle.
