Default polaris xc 600 secondary clutch help

i already changed couple of belts and came to the conclusion that my secondary clutch would close to much and would bring the belt to high and making it squeel...need help adjusting it... i have three bolts that i can unscrew and move the it to left and right...

Turning the adjustment cam clockwise towards the "1" position makes the belt tighter. "5" is the loosest setting. For reference, mine is set at "3 1/2" for a pretty new belt.

If you're going tighter, you should definitely have the belt off. If you're loosening, it shouldn't be as important, but why not have it off just to be safe.
