Default 96 Polaris Ultra SP - belt/clutch replace?

Hello, as my id indicates I'm brand new to snowmobiling. Just bought a 96 Polaris Ultra SP, started right up, guy drove it onto my trailer, got it home, pulled it backwards off the trailer, and now it won't go forward. Engine still runs fine. Bought a new belt and installed it but no idea if I did it correctly. It seems way too loose and the clutch at the bottom spins like crazy but doesn't engage the belt. I'm not sure if I installed the belt correctly because I couldn't find any good videos or an online owners manual. Not sure if I need to "open" the top clutch or if the belt should be flush with the top. Any suggestions on where to go? Thank you all.

belt flush with the large back pulley? lift the back and spin the rear pulley to get it there if not.

Does it have a parking brake?? The belt on the big pully (secondary or driven sheve) should be approx 1/16- 1/8 above when it's at rest. Like The Great Blue Avenger (like that one Greg??) stated get the ass end in the air and see what's going on. The belt for that sled is a polaris 11066, Is the belt smoking on the clutch that's attached to the motor??( primary or drive clutch)

Hello, everyone. Thanks for taking the time to respond to my question. I figured out that I just had to get it up over 4000rpm's to get the clutch to close and then it runs just fine. Sorry for wasting your time.
