I'm sure all the jokes about hotdogs in the muffpots have already been made. But it still makes me giggle.

Yes, I am going to try that also. Having never had one before (insert joke here) do you need to put everything in foil or some kind of baking bag? I really don't want to have to deal with a mess everytime I use it. And what in the hell is parchment paper?

Thanks blue. I assume it hold up to heat well? Alot of the muff pot recipes/suggestions I have found on line mention using parchment paper.

Aluminum foil and a muffpot are a bad combo - parchment paper or even better, oven bags.

Parchment paper is right next to the aluminum foil at the store.

What's wrong with aluminum foil? We've always packaged things into AL foil, fit them to the size of the hotdogger (muffpot) and packed them into our gear bags. When we were getting hungry you take one out and throw it in the hotdogger.

if you leave food under a heat source long enough it's always gonna turn black lol

Maybe you've got some messed up AL foil because I've never had an issue with it and we've left things to cook for hours.

I admit I am not the sharpest tool in the shed but how are you supposed to wrap things in Parchment paper and keep the paper on? I am going to try foil this weekend and see what happens. I also picked up some smaller cooking bags for the messy shit like smokies in bbq sauce, etc. Rick, you coming up after Christmas with Enders?

I use the aluminum foil for the big wieners and the bags for the small wieners. Just saying.

I have also double wrapped them with the foil because for some reason the foil didn't stand up to all the beaten.

Hot pockets are really good also. I usually just leave them in the packaging they came in and then also just put them in one of the smaller bags for extra protection. Can never be to careful in my opinion.

Can't wait to see you guys in Tog. Its sneaken up fast.
