Thumbs up Sweet Memories...

I have always wanted to find an old 75 Sno-Jet 440 F/A, cherry her out and give her to my Dad.

Every single day since he sold her back in 1983 or 84, he has regretted it.

That is a nice looking sled. I still want to get something vintage to fix up and ride around on occasion.

That's the sled I learned how to drive on... and the sled that, according to my dad, damn near made me fatherless on many, many occasions.. lol

And thanks to the power of the internet, I found one... she's not in great shape, but certainly fixable. I talked the guy down to almost nothing for the sled (AND he's gonna deliver i! Ha!).

I can't even begin to tell you guys how friggin' excited I am about this project... it comes with an extra engine, I found windshields and decals and seat covers and paint codes and other parts.. it's gonna run a little spendy and would probably be cheaper for me to buy him a new sled, but the sentimental value alone is well worth whatever money I have to sink into it.

Gotta love those classic blue widowmakers! I spent countless hours being dragged behind mine!

Well.. I found one and she's all mine and needs a TON of work, but I paid nearly nothing for a semi-operational sled and a "spare" rebuilt engine. The clutch has been rebuilt as well, so that rocks.

I haven't had time to really go over her yet, and even though I'm not convinced she's a '75, definitely close enough..
