He's probably counting the main part of the track as well, not just the lug height.

I guess .82 is what polaris claims is stock on the xc500. Gerbil seemed to confirm this. I did measure it from both under the track and just the lugs. The lugs did seem to be in the 3/4" + range and it was over an inch when I measured from the bottom of the track. However an inch an a quarter is a lot more awesome.

If you didn't hound me about the fuel pump, I probably would have just given you mine to avoid the double swap. Then you would have had a sweet rebuilt pump. Since you whined like a little bitch, I swapped them today, so you'll get your shitty old pump back. It's a good thing I did, because I don't think your crappy pump was capable of supplying my awesome mod motor with enough fuel!

When are you putting your carbs on, so I'll know what my deadline is for reinstalling your pump?

He is going with chain saw carbs and pumps, no hurry on your part!

LOL Did see an artical where a guy replaced the old marvel up draft carb on his cub farmall with one from a large chain saw. starts and runs better now with more power. 4cyl 10 hp baby farm / garder tractor from the 50s

I'm calling hogger to see if that qualifies as a mod motor.

New guy, Chuck, go back to page 9 and read post 212 and 215. That was the solution to my problems at that time. I've had more problems that I cured since then, so if you describe what you've got going on, I might be of more help.
