Default I got a new dealership!!!

picked up BRTECH hoods today!!! as an example, an indy hood is 7 lbs bare. made out of lexan and very hard to break!!

THRASHER HOODS these are material like your belly pan. 109 dollars for a hood, looks just like your stock hood, but cheap enough to trash into the trees and brush. made out of material like the belly pans.

lexon hoods are a little more spendy and you can get custom screen kits to the amount of air flow you want from 80% to 15% vents.

check out the hoods at

I've been thinking about getting either a lexan or ABS hood. If I do I'll be ordering it through you.

Do you know how much the Thrasher hoods weigh compared to stock?

she says about the same as the lexon hoods.

the stock bare hood on the storm is 14 lbs. so it would be a 7 lbs weight savings for 109 dollars on an indy. thats cheap weight loss.

the thrasher hoods you cant paint like i said, its the same material as your belly pan. durable and soft, but you cant paint it.

the lexon hoods are more money at the same light weight. but you can custom paint them all you want.

I think I'm gonna give my colored slydogs to my dad (his stock '06 IQ RMK skis are horrible). I'll ditch the junk rattlecan hood and pick up a Thrasher. Then I'll have a nice durable hood to go barreling through the trees with.

They're pretty durable hoods. BRTech is out of Evanston, WY., lots of guys use these hoods out here. Jason's XRS has a custom lexan on it, holds up to him......lol.

You can still rattle can an ABS hood. You just have to spend a little more and get the $3ish cans of Krylon Fusion lol

I'm gonna have to think of a new and original paint job to do this summer

I was going to take a chunk of the plastic and see if you can sand it smooth and buff it shiny?

I'm sure you can, toughest part would just be getting ALL of the hood to be the same smoothness after sanding.
