Question 1994 Indy 500 E.F.I. system question....

I have this 1994 Indy 500. It starts 2nd pull every time and idles nicely. It runs consistently but it just seems to me to be slightly sick. I think it should be a little bit snappier, as I remember this particular sled when it was nearly new. Are there any kind of filters or sensors that may need replacing or cleaning?

It is possible I suppose that I'm just spoiled by riding my new sled, but I want to be sure there is nothing that can be done to improve the old 500's performance.

I'd greatly appreciate any suggestions.

Make sure there are no codes blinking. As long as there are no codes I wouldn't go poking around and making problems for yourself. How do the plugs look? My rxl used to run way rich until I installed a pressure regulator. If your plugs are black that could be an option. Clutch kit will really wake up a 500, that is a must if you haven't already got one.
On another note.....
Did you try any adjustments with your iq suspension the other day? I've been curious how that worked out for ya.

I will look at the plugs, but it's not mine and it runs and goes just fine. So if it's not a dirty air filter or something I won't touch it.

And as far as my sled goes...I adjusted the blocks on the springs from medium to low and it made a noticeable difference in the way it takes off. The skis want to come up a few inches now. Not sure I need to adjust the other travel blocks on the rails, but was considering shortening the limiter straps in front to gain more ski pressure. What do you think about that? I have been too sick all weekend to even go ride and test after the 1st adjustment I made on Friday other than around the yard.

EDIT: what do you mean codes blinking?

Cleaning the clutches will help a lot too.

Just for shits and giggles, throw a compression tester on it.

Does the light stay on constantly or does it blink?
Lets start from the beginning. Why did you rebuild the top end and did you only rebuild the top end? Did you mess with the stator plate at all?
