Ya just a short rise like 2 inch would be fine for that sled and your back up. The riser i got from you was 2 inch and its a nice little rise from stock, not too high, But its not like i ride deep snow and shit so its nice. O your talking about those stickers on the tunnel? I didnt see those before.

Have you started it up yet? Im assuming you have atleast when he dropped it off. I would have to take it for a rip or two (or ten) across the lawn.

Yea, 2 to 3 inches is all it needs. It will be just a trail sled or a back up. At least it has the 1.25 Ripsaw if I want to have a little fun in deeper snow.

I did a compression test before I bought it and it was good. 120 psi on both cylinders. I didn't ride it in my yard but did start it up.

I think I'm going to go do a compression check on my new 2002 XC500. Maybe I'll start it up and see if it runs too.

Westman, I think Craigslist would go out of business if it weren't for you. I was looking at sleds and stuff in Mankato and Minneapolis and half of the ads were yours! You sure don't have an offseason when it comes to sleds. Everyone else on the site is talking about "bewbers" and IBS' girlfriend all summer, but you're keeping it real by relentlessly pursuing more sleds and sled knowledge. By the way, I just went and started my new sled. 2 Pulls and she purred like a kitten!

Why are you selling all your sleds? Are you keeping one?

By the way, 2 inch rise without extension is max im pretty sure, On most sleds including mine, Could be different on that one. But with 2 inchs you shouldnt need any extensions or anything. Anymore and you will need to..

I'm looking to consolidate my fleet a bit. I want to upgrade my mountain sled too. I'm looking for an Edge chassis RMK with a 144" track. If I can afford an IQ chassis, I'd consider a newer IQ 600 144". I would like to only have 2 sleds, but it is nice to have a guest sled around so I'll have to see what happens.

Well, I've had the RMK for two seasons but I never ride it. It is my out west guest sled. I always ride my short track out there, so the 121" posse is still alive and well. If I get a newer RMK, I may actually ride it, so I'll no longer have the out west guest sled. Hmmm... this is getting too complicated.

Do you have any pics of your RMK here on the site or anywhere? I want to see it.

Well, this could be considered hijacking Olaf's topic, but it's not like that's never happened on SN before (and Olaf is often the culprit.) So here's a couple shots:

Sounds like a good purchase Olaf, I too have a friend sled. I keep my older cheap AC. It is actually a mint little sled, and will go through the twisties better than my Storm. I have a whopping $600 dollars in it. All I had to do was change the chaincase oil and hifax. The thing is fast to! It was faster than my uncles 2002 Poo Classic 500. Not bad for a 94.

buahahahahahaaaaaaaaa.

People really ride stuff like that?
Ripn, my XLT was only about 92 horse and it was a great sled. Plenty fast for what I do...well except for racing my uncle. I would outrace him on the trails. The 600 triple was plenty of power. Literally the only reason I have the Storm now was to beat my uncle. Granted I like it better in all ways except handling. I think my XLT handled a little better. More so because it didnt push as much in the corners. The Storm is 70 pounds heavier.

A little suspension tweaking will fix that problem.
