Shit yes, that is awesome vintage!! Best thing about it is you don't get enough snow to use it so it should have like 1000 miles lol.

I have had it for I think 4-5 years now. It had 338 original miles on when I bought it, now it has 340.

This one doesnt get any miles because it is the lowest mileage Brut LC44 that I know of. Also the Walbro carbs are a bitch and need rebuilding, and I know nothing about them.

No its slides. I would never convert it to Mikunis, its 99.9% original and going to stay that way. Besides to switch it over to Mikunis you have to remove the vent below the windshied and come up with something to cover the carbs because they stick up through that opening.

Nice sled

I almost bought one about 4 years ago, very nice shape, but to much $$$$$

Plus I have heard from several people they are very hard engines to tune, carbs are very hard to adjust

Believe it or not I bought this one for $400. It wasnt this pristine when I bought it though, but it was original, just needed alot of elbow grease.

The walbro's are a bitch, I still havent figured them out.

Wow, that was a steal at $400.

I use to have a web site for Walbro carb rebuilding, but the folder it was in disapeared, AAARrr.

I rebuilt one, it worked fine, the second one keeps flooding out the engine, been apart 3-4 times now. 2 different kits.

I seen a add for a 68 panther that had a Hirth 493 opposing twin in it. $200.
The guy had just sold it. Damn.

The biggest problem with the Wahlbro carbs is that when you rebuild them, you usually need to replace the metering needle and seat.
Works best of replaced with a needle with a vitron (rubber) tip.
Then you also need to pop out the welch plug and replace the plastic valve under it as well.

I figured it was a triple, did they even make twins back then? Also what kind of power does a 440 triple put out?

Yes they made twins back then, there were more triples back then but majority of sleds were twins. The 440 triple made 50 horsepower.

Someone should pick this thing up, or you should hog, so you can have two.

Does it look like a good price for its condition or no?
