I almost bought one of those at Hay Days, but talked myself out of it.
Maybe I should have ignored myself and bought one!
Not so long ago, a deranged, ranting person's audience was limited to how many people happened to be on the same street. The Internet, however, has certainly allowed "crazy" to go global...
You guys have to trailer your sled to ride? Suckers. I figured everyone rode from their driveway direct to the trail, like I've done all my life. And theres still groomed trails Ive never been on. With a population of less than 30,000 and over 900miles of groomed trails you usually have the trail all to yourself.
Check out a map of North America and compare the size of N.Mn and Labrador. Groomed trails connect nearly every community in Labradorveryone can ride the roads and a lot of communities dont even plow their roads in winter. Sleds are used as their only means of transportation.
I was able to do that in the place where I grew up. (Maple Grove) Even could in the town I live in now up until about 5 years ago. Until people disrespected others property and then there went that. But as far as Northern Minnesota, most towns still allow it. And logging roads in Wisconsin and Minnesota are trails in the winter. Towns like Two Harbors on Lake Superior you can damn near ride right down mainstreet. The main trail through town is an alley right behind the main strip.
Full Throttle til ya see God, then brake.
I dunno but I'd like to figure it out lol. I'd like to reserve a place and get it paid for so I know we're set. I'll be there Feb. 1-6. I'll be heading home on the 6th in the am. I just figured you guys weren't ready enough to set it in stone.

What do you mean "damn near" ? lol, that's what we always used to do until we moved out of town. Even then I've driven right through town to get gas. Now that I'm living in Houghton I do the same thing here, carbides don't like that too much though.
and I'm not sure I'd classify 7th av as "main street" (that would be 1st) 7th is more or less just a highway with a town around it
^^Twin lakes is fun to play around near, then the dreamland trail out of Hancock can have some nice powder too. One place that gets to be a little rougher to get to is Mt. Brockway but it is definitely worth the trip to the top
