Default Marathon Sled Deck - MN - 4' to 8' width

A buddy of mine who lives in St. Francis, MN has a Marathon Sled Deck for sale. It is for a short box and the sides slide to make it a 4'-8' deck. It comes with clamps and LED lights. $2000

Is this what you're looking for, Vert?

No you don't have to use ramps lmfao. The deck is a ramp.

If I remember correctly, there is a ramp that stores underneath the deck and I believe is a 10' telescopic.

I'd really like to have a SD, but there's no way I could justify paying over a grand for one when I could easily find a trailer for that much.

Appears to be the type that uses ramps for loading/unloading. $2000 isn't really all that bad if it's in good shape. I've got design for mine that will work like I want it to, just got to find time to build it and install.

My design is 8' x 8' deck with about a 9" dovetail on tail. Sides of mine will unpin and fold upward to bring deck to width of truck when not hauling 2 sleds. Ramps will be 2 piece telescoping (similar to an extension ladder) measuring about 11 - 12' extended. Still working on ramp length. After reading some posts on another forum, I'm thinking of installing a 2000 lb winch on headache rack on some type of slide to simplify loading and maybe take some of the pucker factor out of it.

I'll probably either install a overload type spring system, airbags, or simply the best gas shocks I can find on rear of truck to control body lean/sway on rough terrain.

My reason for a deck is simple really. A lot of the areas we ride in it's tough to get turned around with a trailer. Plus sleds/covers are a mess if in melting is taking place on roads. A deck solves all these in one effort.

Installing a deck on anything smaller than a 3/4 ton appears to be kind of a risky deal. Not sure on facts, but it appears most 1/2 tons would be overloaded with 2 sleds on it. That in fact is one of the reasons I bought a F-250, I've got the legal capacity to haul 2 and it's got the towing capacity to tow my present RV and a larger one if that happens in the future.

Remember guys, when I mention towing, I'm not talking about towing on flat roads. Even going around mountains to get home I still have some considerable elevation changes to cross. We have a heavy 1/2 ton at home that will tow my RV, it just won't handle it in the inclines.

That ramp looks massive. Look like similar principle to what I have in mind. Biggest difference is mine will be all steel and smaller material to be used.
