2 stroke has additives that prevent rust, thats why a lot of shops will store parts in 2 stroke. you ever see anything thats covered in oil rusty?

I didn't/haven't fogged any of mine. I do pull plugs and pour in a little oil when storing them. Pick the rear up to get weight off track. That's been pretty much all. I figured on doing the following

Change chaincase lube and check tension
Check carbides
Grease everything
Check track, skid, shocks, and idlers
Top off with Amsoil
Refuel
Clean and wax (this gets done throughout year)
Clean/check clutchs and belt
Clean/check airbox
Clean carbs
Lube cables
Check brake and fluid
Check/fill coolant
Check/replace starter rope
Check trunkbag for old sandwich, cookies, etc.
Clean muffpot
Check electrical wiring/connections

I'm sure I'm missing things but can't think of them now.

I don't summerize either, never have. I park them and drop a shitload of mothballs in the belly pan. I disconnect the battery on the rxl and make sure there is barely any gas in machines. I start them once a month too.
In fall I pull them out and....
Change chaincase oil (check chain adjustment)
Pull rear skid-- grease and inspect-- reinstall
Grease all grease zerts
Normal once over everything else
Fill er up and wait for snow!!

to me it makes more sense to grease the zerks before storage to get the water out of the bearings......and believe me there is water in them!!
