I've noticed that there are starting to be more members here,
and more sled related content than when Ibreakstuff first asked me to come over and be a part of the new forum (here) that he was starting at the time.
I didn't think it would catch on.
I signed up at that point, looked at about 4 threads and saw only cussing and bashing.
I was like WTF?
Couldn't / didn't want to associate my GWR name with that, so I left.
Now, I'm seeing less crap and more sled, so here I am.
This is as good a place to start as any.
As for SF,
Ya, it's a bit over moderated in some ways, those are the rules and policies set forth by the admins and that is as far as that goes.
About 10 or so members need kicked off permently as well.
For what it's worth though.
My advertizing money has nothing to do with my being a mod over there.
I was asked to be a mod and after accepting it, I was able to go back and look at how I was selected.
It was a vote between the other mods between the people they thought would be good,
then after they all decided, I was asked to be a mod, but not until then did I even know they were looking.
That's the whole process right there.
I do still wonder if being a mod actually hurts the advertizing effect a little as it puts me in the position to have to give out warnings etc.

For the record,
I did comment that I didn't like the flag so much, but was NOT who edited that part out
Doesn't really matter so much anyway.
It's just one post.
If that's the biggest thing a person has on me, then life is OK.

Anyway, if you don't like it, stay the hell out.
Ya, I know I throw the mountain snow levels out there a bit. lol
But that's just in fun.
You did hit it exactly how I like to work my business as well as with other people in general though. Thanks again.
Student Driver is a piece of shit. He peddles CYI-Cocaine to CYI. He prey upon kids to make money for products they really don't need. Ever seen his threads on Snowest or the other forums? He's completely ignored.
Erick's choice for SD as a mod is his own choice.
I take it you never saw SD here did you? The DAY that he became a mod on SF he came here, registered, threw a hissy fit and said "I was going to spend some of my advertising budget here but now I see all you do is bash SF". Like I would have accepted his money? Oh, and now money forces me into decisions of who and how I let people advertise?
I'll find the post and quote it here.
I just found this one here.
For the record, YOU asked me to come over and "help shape SledNutz" to be the forum you wanted.
When I came over, I signed up with out really thinking about looking first,
then I looked at maybe 4 or so threads and saw nothing but bashing each other and cussing and didn't want to associate my GWR name with that.
I still don't / won't go to that level.
"Piece of shit".... Ya, what ever.
I'm only here because I like sleds and want to hang out a little with out having to moderate, so either get over it or not.
You already know that most of the (non-advertizing) posts I make are either helping people out or giving ride / snow reports.
Bars and riser kits are the #3 most common thing done to sleds today.
I offer a lesser expensive way for people to do this.
So in short, I'll leave this thread alone from here and see how it goes for me here at slednutz.
