Whether they're bad or not, it's better to have it with you than not and need it.

I carry the can on back on all rides, never know when it'll be needed.

Ya, but 5 gallons? How the heck do you get the sled to perform. I thought the idea was weight savings.

I've seen it done, typically carry it in and drop it off. Play minus the weight.

I've done that with all my gear on occasion. Climbing a nasty hill or something where I know I'll be back to get it, drop fuel and trunk bag off. Shovel and other gear stays on my pack anyway. Just drops a few pounds off and saves having gear strung all the way down slope if sled happens to roll.

Fuel consumption is too variable to estimate till you get off in the deep shit. I've had days where I burn it all, others where I get back to truck with a half tank still in sled.

That sounds like it might be a good idea. We can carry as much as possible and drop it somewhere. Hmmmm! If Andy can't carry any fuel I'd be happy to bring out an extra tank instead of having to ride back to the truck. We can dump it in early but I'd rather wait till it is needed.

I'm gonna have to see how the UB motor does on fuel. The 850 was a gas pig, Not sure how this one will do.

Anyone know if there's a shop around there that fills NOS bottles? If I stay for 2 or more I may need a refill.

I think the AC dealer in Kremmling might. I know they are a supporter of Burandt.

Good to know if I go that route. I've been told the button can be addicting.

Look at these things! Holy shit. They are even uglier than what I was expecting. What I do to try and keep up with you fuckers! Everyone on Snowest says they are the best thing since sliced bread on a four stroke so I hope appearance grows on me.

Floaters !!! You'll love them. I run the Regular Flexis on my Escape, much better than the SLP's on the RMK. Better ride, more control. They'll fit right in.

Now all you need is a hair dryer ...........

Some areas (Tog, Upper BigHorns, CDST (upper)) have probably got it now above 8k. Usually by T-Day home area will have enough to rode ride. It better have or it's gonna be a road trip in less than 2 weeks. I'm riding over T-Day weekend even if I have to drive to the snow. High Uintas should have snow by then, I'll ride UT again.
