Default How to check crank? Make sure its in spec?

Ok so i think my crank has a good chance of being messed up after that clutch blew up. How do i check to make sure its good? I think i might be able to get the specs, but how do i check it?

if the crank is still in the engine, you mount a dial indicator to the engine, make sure its solid so it dont wobble, put the needle on the or near the end of the crank, rub the crank with emery cloth first to make sure its clean, then roll the crank over and watch the needle to see how much it moves.

Its out of the engine now. I could put it back in the case and do it?
