What the hell you mean vintage ride? LOL

figured 60-65 mph getting there ....NO, more like 40 mph

Wind kept wipping a 30 ft enclose trailer around, burnt up 8+ gal of gas to ST. James about45 miles.

event started at 10am they left at about 10:15 ...DOH

took off on the 71 TX ,ran good as usual, the 72 303winkel fouled a new plug after 2 miles, too hard to catch up with the crowed , they already had a 15 minute lead. Couldnt even see the tracks of at least 25 sleds

turned around, went to traileer..... put the "old , old" Bosh plug back in, seem to run fine. We had a "Cocktail" at about 11:30 then headed home.

The winds and black ice made for a intersting ride back home.
Had trailer sliding sideways, pulling the truck around..... YIKES

Peeed pants many times

cars in the ditches along the way,
and Lots and LOts of stupid drivers. Cars in the medium and tow trucks blocking a little bit of the left lane, I had to take the shoulder cause people where passing in the left lane

But arrived alive, somehow, LOL

Just get a newer TX. Or go all out for a TXL / TXL-indy.

Or an RXL of course (shudder).

But then it would have taken away the fun.

Plus trying to cancel at last minute is hard to do, never heard anything about the wind in the forecast.

We got a little bit of a late start, picked up some more gas in St. James.
Got there at 9:45. I thought event started at 10... trail ride started later.

Nope, the ride started at 10, they left just after 10.

Would have grabbed the new ones and chased them down, but left the Fusion at home.

I pulled campers in the summer, in high winds. a Whole different story in the winter on ice. Wierd feeling when truck and trailer are going in a differnt direction.

Waconia is in 2 weeks.

I didnt even get a chance to take pic. did talk to one guy that I see at these events.
