Default Minnesota snow near Barnum

I went snowshoeing at my Aunt and Uncle's on Christmas Eve. I took some pictures of the awesome snow conditions because I love snow even when I can't sled or ski. I even found a hidden snowmobile trail deep in the woods. Their place is a few miles from the Mahtowa exit off of I35 and only a few minutes off the Munger trail.

That's beautiful. You snowshoe a lot? Do you cross-country ski at all?

I've never snowshoed before. A don't usually cross country ski with skinny skis, but I have an Alpine Touring setup that I use out in the mountains. I can put ski skins on the bottoms of the skis and climb uphill. Last year I'd ride the sled back to the skin tracks and then ski up for some unbelievable untracked powder on the way down.

Here's a picture of me skiing, and one of the area I usually ski when I'm Out West if anyone's interested.
