Default Carbs

I have a 99 SKS 700 when I got the sled the guy said the sled set for 2 years and the didn't drain the float bowls and I should clean them. I haven't done that yet. It has allways idled at about 2500-3000rpms. Well I put risers and a throttle exstion and now it idles at at 4000rpms. Is the adjustments on the carbs the black knobs on the side and if they are witch way do I turn them?
Thanks

Sounds more like when you added the extensions you needed to readjust your Carb slides. Sounds like the slides are slightly open now instead of closed. The knobs on side do adjust idle, but if all you did was add the riser and extensions I would start at the adjustment on top of the carbs to make sure slides are set right. Just make sure they are equal. Same will happen if one is open and the other is closed.

Yep, sounds like you took some slack out of the throttle cable.

The add on extension is known for that.
