Vert, my book says 90 inch pounds or 10.3 Newton meters for the cover bolts. The main bolt is 40-45 foot pounds for large ID shaft (3/4"), or 50 foot pounds for small ID (7/16").
Thanks Rubi ..... that explains why those cover bolts were as tight as they were .........

You bet MX, you're the "wrencher" all right; about the only wrenching you do is with your cell phone and text messaging!!!! Yep, like lets see if there is any dirt, grease, under those finger nails!! Doubt it, the phone wouldn't work then!!

Parts in today, Curt delivered right on time again. Primary was a bit stubborn going back together getting spring in correctly and compressed, but it went. Almond round w/ 10-62 weights in it. Putting new helix in secondary in now, will get it installed tomorrow evening along with getting the EGT's installed and working.

Almost ready to hit the mountain again, do some testing.

Helix should be in today or tomorrow, I'll get it back together and may run up to South BigHorns Sun. to try it out. Work seems to think I need to spend mucho hours there right now, Flatlanders running this project seem to think winter is for working, then they'll want to golf all summer.

1 of the helix I bought off Ebay got here today, 58-42 .36 ER off a Pro-X. Stuck it in just to see if it would work or not. Unloaded sled, warmed up good, put it on stand and dropped the hammer on it. It wound up to 8k without a hitch and with plenty of thumb left. EGT's scared the shit out of me though. Mag side shot to 1275 like a rocket. Richened up PJ and tried again....... ah better, both sides at about 1120. By now motor is getting hot, so loaded and ready to pull out in the morning early. Not sure which way I'm going yet. Need elevation changes and deep powder, doesn't matter where it's at.

Engagement now up close to 4k with Almond round and 10-62's in it. Need to take pics of these others and see if anyone can ID them. Or find some scales and weigh them.......

I'll be happier when I know it'll hold/build rpm going vertical with it. Heading to Buffalo, WY to ride with some SW'ers on the southern Bighorns in a few minutes. I'll know today if this combo works or not.
