I actually used copper tubing and compression fittings on my rxl. I added about 5" to the line right at the master cylinder. Worked pretty good, been that way for 3 years problem free.

I just did my XLT and XCR as well. I used a brake line for a car and bent it into a U just like the end of the line that's there. Then I re-bent the original line carefully and used a union to connect the two. Bled the system and i'm all good.

Cost: $3.84

Savings over Student Driver's CYI Candy Store: About $75.00.

Works: Prefectly.

I've thought about making some of these up and selling them. I know they're easy to make but not everyone has a tubing bender or feels like dealing with it.

I've got a list of little tips n tricks that would would make a lot of peoples' lives easier and they're much cheaper than what they replace. I could sell them cheap and still be ahead. My big project that will "reinvent the wheel" so to speak has been put on hold until I get a bigger garage. Wicked cool shit, too.

you just have to make sure the ends are the same size. I got the cyi braided steel line from hiperf.com and then a short chunk of automotive steel to get into and around stuff.
