Default Should I buy it?

1997 Polaris Trailblazer 250. Automatic with reverse and electric start. Biggest thing I don't like about it is it's a 2stroke. Seems to fit the bill for my teenage daughters. Anyone had one or know anything about them?

Can you still get parts? Do you want an automatic? I had a Suzuki Ozark 250cc for my ex-gf when I rode ATVs and she loved it. Auto-clutch made it fun for her.

Yes I want an automatic. I've tried talking them into racing my 400 but they won't because it's a shifter. They say the only way they'll ride is if it's an automatic. And I don't really want to get a utility ATV. They will probably end up running it at the dirtdrags with Shane and with a little work it'll hang.

9 bills and it's mine.

we had one, it was actually a great machine, simple to do regular maintenance on the suspension and to tighten the chain, never had problems with the engine and it had the crap ran out of it.

Fresh rebuild on engine, still has premix in tank for breakin. New top end, new battery, rebuilt carb, new K&N air filter, new rear brake shoes. The plastic is cracked in a few places and the seat has foam showing at front but nothing major. Overall I'd say it's worth the $900. Just curious if anyone had any feedback on that atv. Don't know anyone that's ever had one.

Well I talked to Missy about it last night. I told her if the girls will ride it I'll get it. But if they don't and I trade my triple for it I'll be pissed. Missy says she'll even go trail riding with Shane and I, so I may do it. I'm trying to wait 2 days before I make a final decision just to make sure I make the right decision.

i had the same thing about 5 years ago,its a good machine, but not much power to them,my only complaint is that the starter shit the bed after a rebuild 2 months later, and the gear case was making a grinding noise when i punched it.

Impulse buying is a great thing. You should have raced over and picked it up by now. How's it run? Ride? Handle?

Details would help move this thread along .......

I was pretty unsure about purchasing this quad because it is a 2stroke. I love 2 stroke snowmobiles but kinda prefer a thumper for an atv. I dragged my feet for a few days and went back with money in hand prepared to make an offer I'm sure he'd have taken. Just to find that I dragged my feet just long enough, it was already gone lol. Good thing or a bad thing, I'm not upset about it at all lol. Actually looking at purchasing a Polaris atv for the kids, and it's a thumper.

I looked at it for my wife and teenage daughters. They won't ride something they have to shift, gotta be automatic.

I had one for awhile that was pretty trick. Would have probably kept it if went another 10 mph. Mine was piped and clutched with a fresh +.010 and couldnt get 50 out of it if its life depended on it. Was awesome on the trails with 4-5 inches of snow. Someone in Wisconsin got a hell of a deal on it.

Polaris has those same body designs in a 4 stroke model now, like a 330 Trail Boss I believe it's called
