THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR WESTERN AND CENTRAL WYOMING.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

RAIN WILL TURN TO SNOW IN THE BIG HORN MOUNTAINS THIS MORNING ABOVE
9000 FEET AND WILL CONTINUE THROUGHOUT THE DAY TODAY. ACCUMULATIONS
OF 3 TO 7 INCHES ARE EXPECTED THERE. LIGHTER AMOUNTS OF SNOWFALL ARE
EXPECTED ACROSS THE REST OF THE MOUNTAINS WITH THE SNOW LEVEL
DROPPING TO AS LOW AS 8000 FEET ACROSS WESTERN WYOMING. OTHERWISE...
SIGNIFICANT RAINFALL IS EXPECTED ACROSS MUCH OF THE REST OF THE AREA TODAY ALONG WITH ONE HALF TO ONE INCH OF PRECIPITATION EXPECTED IN MANY AREAS. SOME EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS CAN ALSO BE EXPECTED ALONG WITH SMALL HAIL AND GUSTY WINDS TODAY. RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS ALONG WITH SOME EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE TONIGHT BUT WITH LIGHTER AMOUNTS OF PRECIPITATION. ROADS MAY BECOME SLICK OVER GRANITE AND POWDER RIVER PASSES TODAY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

A FEW SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED SUNDAY...INCREASING EAST OF THE DIVIDE SUNDAY NIGHT. SNOW LEVELS WILL DROP TO 7500 TO 8000 FEET ACROSS WESTERN WYOMING BY SUNDAY MORNING AND DOWN TO 8500 TO 9500 FEET ACROSS THE REST OF THE MOUNTAINOUS AREAS. ROADS COULD BECOME SLICK ACROSS THE MAJOR PASSES OF NORTHERN AND WESTERN WYOMING INCLUDING TETON...TOGWOTEE...POWDER RIVER AND GRANITE PASSES EARLY
SUNDAY MORNING.

Elnino effect.
Early snow, then it freezes down to what resembles 3 or 4 feet of spring snow/tundra until early spring when we finally get big wet stuff that's good to ride in.

I do keep hoping for another ice age though....
