Default 1994 500 Efi

Were there any major issues with the 94 500 EFI genII sleds?

I found a mechanics special that motor looks and tests good, everything has been taking apart and it is a pile of parts as far as the sled is concerned. Good price, but wanted info on any known problems.

Thanks

None of the 90's EFI sleds were the most reliable nor easy to work on - from any manufacturer. In fact, I believe Poo and Cat used the same Bosch system for a while.

But the 500 carb was indestructible.

It was the same, battery required.
Usually the problems arose because the techs were not properly trained to service these.
My sled is a 93 700 efi and has no issues with running.
I consider it extremely reliable and prefer it over any carbed sled.
