Default Cat question

I have a friend who has a 91 Wildcat 700 and he is in need of a new skid rail. He says the Micro-fiche shows that the rails are unique in this year as far as he can tell by part number.

Question is are the 91 700 Wildcat rails only on this model or would other rails from different models and or years work?

Thanks

You can use the rails from a newer one, but may have to drill a couple of new holes is all.

Here is what my buddy had to say.

"As far as I know.. Any of the I beam rails will work. I broke my 1989 121" rail with extensions and put in a 1992 136" rail and had no problems. Hope this helps."

Not sure if this helps or not.
