Default Starting a cold sled(Trick)

Hey Guy's

With all the time that I have spent up north I have learned a nice little trick on how to start your sled on them really cold mornings. You know what I'm talking about, You have to pull the sled over about half a dozen times before you can get the engine to spin free enough to start.(What a pain in the ass and back)
Now the trick is when you know that it's going to be a really cold night and your done ridding for the day, turn your choke on full and let your machine stall and turn your key off. The next morning when you go to start your sled you can laugh at all your friends as they pull there guts out trying to start there sleds while you start your sled on the first pull with one hand. I have used this trick for years and I hope it works for you as well as it has worked for me.

Reason
When you use the choke this produces a stronger mixture of fuel than oil. This mixture (for a lack of a better term)" washes" the excess oil off the cylinder walls and crank. The excess oil that is on the cylinder walls and crank thicken it extreme cold temperatures and that is why it's hard to turn the engine over. The oil is thick like Honey on the cylinder walls and the piston rings have to scrape the oil off before it can turn freely and that is why you have to pull it over 5 or 6 times before is turns free

I've used this trick in the past but somehow had forgotten about it. Thanks for the refresher.

you call yourselfs men? ha, to help make it easier to start the sled i turn the sled around in its spot by lifting the front and back. by the time you get the sled turned 180 degrees pulling an engine over isnt so hard.

when i want to show off i grab the track and get it spinning real fast, then with a little push on the belt the engine will go.

or the other trick is to push the sled and same thing as above.

Or you buy a real sled with EFI and never have this problem.

With mine, I do have to pull it with both hands when it is real cold.
Usually one hand is enough though.

And the sled starts easily too.

I like to turn mine upside down and chase the wife on the track. I catch her or the sled starts and I ride it
