And in the end it's no big deal. The extra oil adds a little weight making it easier for Poos to keep up.
Close to 2000 but I don't think Mileage is the issue here. I'm now thinking that his oil pump is stuck open. We cleaned the sled up yesterday and took it for a 2 minute rip. "Was just like Cuzzin at Haydays" (SMOKED LIKE A BITCH
). Then today he called me and said that there was a huge pool of oil under the sled again. The oil looked like it had filled the ridges of the accordion boot that in front of the carbs and is now leaking. WTF
My best guess is that the sled sat all summer with the oil pump stuck open or from what I hear is that this guy had tried to adjusted the pump to lean it out and went the wrong way. Now as the sled sat all summer, the weight of the oil in the tank forced oil threw the lines and pump into the throtle body boots thus causing the oil to flow back threw the throttle bodies and fill the accordion style intake boot. Just a guess!
Does anyone know the proper procedure for adjusting the punp?
