Default The fun beginns today, swapping in a extra 12

Well the fun beginns today. Start putting a extra 12 in to the Storm. Not going to be easy, but well worth it on the comfort side of things. Take the jack shafts outta her and do all new bearings, taking the chain/gear case off for easy of fab work, and cause i wanna, i will take pictures as i go, and when done she will have new pic on the front yard!!! Then i will start on the RXL

If it makes you feel better, my sled was just a belly pan and tunnel from about June until Dec. 8th or so. Didn't have it running until the day before a ride, did some tweaking and took it up the UP the 18th.

does anyone know where there are some 133.5 rails for a extra 12 or anyone that machines after market rails? hey Mud do u have a title for the RXL tunnel?? Got a idea in the back of my mind. turnin the RXL chasis into a low lean grass an ice dragg sled. it will be a race only sledd. I might be able to get a old school Aaen race motor for under 800 and the old boy will be my tuner an teach me while at it. just ideas that might work out!!!

Well the motor is outta pinky, she skid less also. tomorrow before dr appt it will be trailing arm less also. measuring the mounts out aint going to be that hard. shit easy compared to putting in a new floor in a trunk of a 68 Satelite or generic Road Runner for those who are Mopar lacking!!!! Thank God for the chasis of the XLT, ohhhh does anyone need heat exchangers for floor boards or front of tunnel, if u live with in driving distance, there yours if u come an romove the shit your self. happy early Christmas fuckers hahahahaha, the belly pan is good and the tunnel is good. First come first serve!!!!! How do i down load pictures of the storm in various state of building on the site from my blackberry? Thanks yall, not one broken knucke or bloody one this time, fuckn shockn!!!

My pops has a 69 GTX....

Anyways - I may want those coolers. Problem is that you're 3 hours away. Damn.

To upload pics you need to sign in to the forum on it, and click the paperclip. It's identical to uploading from the site. It may be easier to email yourself the pics then upload them from a computer.

shit brother, u come and get them, they are FREE FREE YES I SAID FREE, u can justify the gas spent by not having to buy them, ur choice, do u want all three or just side exchangers? If i take them off and ship? ? ? 30 plus shipping, u think thats fair, not trying to gouge, gotta buy grinding wheels and im not out to rape anyone on price. If u ride and work on your own, that goes a long way with me, just like when i rode bikes, no repect for a stroke who wont or cant work on his own. just the way i was raised. Besides who wants to pay 65-75 an hour for a tech to do what i can do

Ice Age, MX86?? I talked to those guys at West Yellowstone. They said to make rails for an out of date sled would cost at least $500 bones or clams. I think that's a little too much for my tastes. Tastes may differ though...??

I heard the Haydays Swap Meet sucked royal ballsack this year. You can't even get Ice Age Rails for an Edge the last few years. I've been looking. They just ain't out there. Good luck with an Xtra 12. Can you even get a 133.5" track anymore?

i called tracks usa and they told me to buy extensions cause u cant get new 133.5 any more period, they quit making them. so the storm and rxl will be 136s. maybe storm 121 for next year then buy a new track and picks for year after that. the rx will be a 136 this year for sure. w/xtra 10 with extensions....was dissapointed that they dont make tracks in 133 any longer, still a fair amount of them out there i thought??

Get an edge or RMK 136 skid... Sometimes as cheap as just extensions and better as a 1 piece rail than an extension. Tons of 133.5 tracks floating around still reasonable prices.

you can make 121 to 133 extensions. I had to make 121-128 rail extensions once, that was a pain in the ass. the longer the extension the easier to make.
