Default 2008 Season Tally

All right, now that the season is officially over, at least in Minnesota, lets here what the miles were tallied on our sleds. That will give me a good idea how many of you are buying new, or "will slightly used do" for upcoming 2009 season?

I put close to 1,400 miles on Ugly Betty this year. Pushing her to just over 9,100 miles.

I logged about 100 miles on my rental in Colorado.

Then I already bought my 2009 ride last Saturday, and put 154 miles on that so far.

Between both sleds I logged about 1300 miles this year. Not sure if I'm done yet or not. There is still snow up north but I'm not sure if I want to trailer.

about 1100 so far, might be one for ride left this year

as for next year, the big mod is gonna be nowhere near completion, I'm now hoping for 2010.

But the rest of my options are still wide open.
1)Mod out the RMK some more, twin pipes, hood, full suspension, cromoly steering post, steering post support maybe even NOS

2) Get the RMK back into great running condition, find IQr, drop old 700 into it. Proceed to spend most of my budget on getting the IQr to climb better than the RMK.

3) Sell RMK, sell 700, sell other parts. Find good condition 900 RMK ($3-4K) and "fix" the bugs it has.

Ok throwin another wrench into the plans

4) XCR8 mill in a chassis, either GenII or IQr

Nowhere near being finished out west. Rode in 12-24" of fresh POW yesterday, more coming down today and tomorrow.

Over a 1000 miles this year on various sleds. Didnt have a lick of trouble with the old dogs all year. The 440 gets a new engine this summer, the 800 gets studs and I am bringing the 2k 700 back from the dead with a 136 rear. Got plenty to do this summer.

I logged 523 real miles (according to my GPS). The dream-o-meter shows around 526 so I guess I wasn't doing too much track spinning. I was really trying to clear 600 but between work and my wife screwing up my plans, I didn't get that last ride in.

Oh well, there's always next season...

Just a hair under 700 for me! Only about 10 miles are from riding around my house. The rest are all Northern Ontario miles!
I guess it was an OK year!

Well, it sounds like if you were in New York (North), riding was great, Powersledder gets to ride when ever (And you really believe he's going to school in Houghton!!!!). Northern Canada, and Fu**ing Madison Wisconsin who got 110" of Snow this Winter, more than double their normal!! Proves my point, anyone around Minnesota this year, knows the "bubble" was over us.
