Default Hill Drags

Any body going to the Duluth Hill Drags on Saturday? Bring up your hot rod and see if you can beat my hot RMK. One last blast

Where, when, how much $$ to enter and do you need a tekvest?

I just might be headed home this weekend, so.....maybe

Edit:
I'm assuming this is the WSA sponsored event?
http://www.pro-ice.com/index.php?opt...lpro&Itemid=89

And you posted this at the wrong time lol, you have to be registered by wednesday

Let's see Here;
Tether - have
Snow flap- doesn't touch ground (cheap fix)
hood- already back on
clutch guard - only have stock one, not a racing guard
helmet - can you use orange tape?
tekvest - dont got one
shin guards- pretty sure i could find some

so do you need to have a racing clutch guard?

PS that be the one. From what I understand all you need is a Tekvest and a teather. As far as cost I'm not sure. Should be fun as hell. Glad I didn't put the RMK away yet.

It would seem like these Safety requirements would be general requirements for any sanctioned events. I know they're recommendations even in the unsanctioned (Outlaw) events like the Shootouts (Big Dawg, Fairview, etc.)

PS are you thinking about running? I like the siding for extending the flap. I just talked to a friend who said they don't do a whole lot of tech inspecting so may be ok without extending the flap. But I will have it ready. Should be fun.

A few links for Chest Protectors

I've never tried any but TekVest, no idea how the others compare. If you ordered today, they could probably overnite to you. Your other alternative is to try to "borrow" one for race, might work for you.

Those hill drags might be really interesting if they've gotten all the snow projected for that area. Unsure, do they have that many long tracks in Minnesota ? Not being a smartass, truely unfamiliar with terrain in that area.

If you are there and see this sled stop by and say hi. Or buy me a beer. It should make it real fun with the new snow.

How does it compare say to the hills of west central Illinios, I grew up there. I know some of the bluff areas along Illinios river and Mississippi river would be fun to ride if they only got enough snow cover to do it.
