Anyone interested in one last ride this season? There is a small chance I'll be heading to Cooke City later this month or early June. Anyone?

I just put my sleds away this weekend and got an email this morning. I dunno, I am gonna consider it. I talked to the Antler Lodge and he said it is still good riding. We'd have to trailer to Lulu but can ride from there. I dunno... I might sit this one out but am waiting to hear back from everyone in the group before I decide.

There are times that I wish I still worked for someone else. I could take vacations when I want, call in 'sick' when I want to. This my friend is one of them times lol. Kinda fucked up, most of my friends have wives that won't let them do shit. My wife doesn't mind but work prohibits alot lol. All work and no play makes richie a dull boy lol.

Yea... but ya gotta pay the bills. I dunno, it is a long ass drive for only so so riding with little pow. You can definitely go places you wouldn't in Feb.

Shit yeah I'll bet you could make it all over the place. Wouldn't overheating be an issue? Doesn't seem like there'd be any pow at all either.

Recent pics from the Snowies look good... maybe not tons of pow but enough to carve it up and get stuck.

After checking snow conditions yesterday at top of Powder River Pass (approx. 9850'), doubt any POW will exist by end of month. Snow I saw was settled and wet as a Slurpie.

Yea, it probably isn't worth it. Oh well, it was nice thought. The Snowy Mountain range is still good from the pics I saw on Snowest.

I'd love to but there isn't any work in my field except for Cali... and then it is still a decent hike. California is too expensive anyway. I do think I am going to be riding the UP less and less and heading west more. I'll ride the UP if they get a good storm but most of my trips will be planned last minute. No more trail sled for me so it will have to be good conditions.

Ya know, I thought the Bighorns would be, plenty of elevation there. All the snow I could find had the same soupy consistancy. Pics don't always show how bad it really is. That pic with me standing in snow took about 10 secs., I was wet to the knees. I'm thinking it's still there and probably ride-able if you get out early and don't mind concrete-like conditions. I just couldn't justify maybe tearing shit up to ride shitty snow. Next season will be here soon with fresh POW.

Until then, it's time to make money........

I work for a large pharmaceutical company. I won't try to explain or bore you with my job description, LOL. I am pretty much stuck on the east coast, North Carolina, the Chicago area, or California if I want to make the same salary.

With 3 long tracks already, and Mountain Max's very plentiful out here, ......don't think so.

I'm thinking possible Yamaha for next season to complement the UBR, but if I do it'll be back to 4-stroke. Late RX-1 or Apex Mtn.
