Default Walden Co group ride.

Jan 31 - Feb 7 Walden Co. I haven't reserved the place yet but I'd like to get it reserved before July. I'm trying to get an idea of who would be in on it so I know how big of a place to reserve.
We'll be staying here http://home.centurytel.net/northparkmotel/winter.htm because Rmker recommended it. We'll be riding where rmker and indygirl ride and hopefully they'll guide us for at least a couple days. I'm sending them both a pm with a link to this thread so they will hopefully post up soon.
Myself, I'm hauling my sled/sleds up so I can pick up between 1-2 sleds on the way. I'm hoping to get a bigger enclosed trailer before that and if I do then I can haul more sleds. If I can't find more than 1 sled to pick up on the way I'll be bringing my dragon and triple. I'll be leaving Michigan on Jan 30th in the evening hoping to roll in saturday night Jan 31st. I'll be leaving to head back to michigan bright and early Saturday morning Feb 7th.
Let the good times roll, head count..........

Interesting..............It's a 12 hour drive to your place for us.
Maybe we could trailer our two to your place, then pile them in and join you for the ride.
We'd make kick ass time with more than just you driving alone! How far of a drive is it for you by the way?

My husband would be thrilled to have his coffee can special up in the mountains instead of riding a roach rental (that he breaks and pays for anyway!) LMAO

1200 miles from me. According to mapquest 18 hr drive. I thought about just renting but I have a long track for a reason. I'd really rather have my sled than one that every tom dick and harry have abused. I'm sure your hubby would rather have his 900 than rent another pooch lol.

Bloomingdale Mich. We could always meet up at IBSs or something. That is if it's safe to leave a vehicle in chitown without getting it stripped for a week lol.

Oh shit, my bad. LOL.
That makes 10.5 hours to you then. Puts me up through Canadaland, not sure I want to be crossing any borders with our, umm, special freight, lol.
Wherever it's safe to leave my old mans truck and trailer for a week......it just may work out.
Lots of gas money, but saving on rental fee I guess. I dunno.

Can't take it with ya when ya die anyhow.

If you guys wanted to trailer to my place your truck would be safe. I live in the middle of the country and don't have any problems. "Special freight"? Oh yeah it's gonna be a fun trip!!

Long ass drive for us NY'ers, but I guess 28 hours in a truck with you and my husband and our "special freight" beats the piss outta 28 hours on a plane to South Africa with a cabin full of dickhead strangers and no smoking.

Shit, ya think my 121 Black Lemon will do OK in CO.?

ewwww I dunno about that lol. Rubi did pretty good with a shorty, but he has a 1.5 cross country track.

Errr, I got a 1.25 full of iron, LOL, maybe I'm better off renting a roach anyways?
Besides, I'm not even 1/4 the rider Rubi is in the mountainous powder.

If we were trail riding, I'd give you all a run for your money though. LOL

FYI I don't live in the ghetto.
Secondly, I most likely will not be living here anyways so I imagine the drive for me will be really short. I could probably talk to some friends and let you leave your shit at their place.

I am game.... and would be willing to meet up with someone to split the gas (my vehicle or their's). I am planning a trip for December, maybe this one, and then another in April. Hell, I want to go back out now, LOL. What is the riding like in Walden?

I'll probably try to make the pull down for that, may be only for the weekend, but better than nothing.

(In true to form MX style, he will be asking for one of us to pay his way and pick him up at some point in this planning conversation.)

Shit, OCR, you'd be an easy pick up along the way! Start saving now!

If you carpool it really isn't that expensive. Both of my out west trips this year costed me less than $350 for gas and lodging. Whatever you spend on gas/oil/food/extras isn't included of course. $600 would easily do it.

For $2.50 a day you can have the joys of riding out west, eating each day, gas money and a Kool Aid smile. Seriously, it is like $75 a month or however you want to break it down.

Nothing wrong with a sled that is worth more than your vehicle...
