Dragging this thread out. Were these mods anything you had to do with or someone else spinning the wrenches and you handing the check?

I didn't do the fiberglass work. I wanted it done right and had a friend do it. I bought the ski with a lot of these extras already on it. All the "extras" are fairly easy to install and I have done a lot of work on it myself. Engines don't scare me.

I only rode sit downs...ya, ya, say what you will. I was touring some of the vids on you tube of the stand ups, look more my style, sit down = trail riding, stand up = off trail.
Do you get into some of the freestyle they show on those vids? Are they as easy to throw around as they look?

Sitdowns are boring unless you're cruising or jumping waves. I agree, sitdowns are more like trail riding and standups are off-trail.

I never was into racing buoys like some people I know. I can do a sub, was able to complete a full nose stab, and some other little things. It takes time to learn how to ride one. You might get up and go straight but as soon as you have to turn hard you'll be in the water.

They are a blast to ride. It just sucks I have no one to ride with anymore. I just got the ski in 2007 and it was down with a bad stator, starter, and pole for a few months. I only rode it a few times this year. Maybe next year if I don't sell it.

I know, 8 years ago the only thing we would do with the thing was take it to secluded parts of the lake for some "fun"....ahhhh, the younger years, LOL. You get with-in 100 yards of any boat or for that matter anything it seems the DNR would have a fit.
