Post My '90 Wildcat project

I finally got the rusted on secondary off and cleaned up.
While working on it, I noticed that it has a 53 degree ramp in it.
This with the hot setup of the 102 that I have on the 500 fan ought to make it very quick.

Then to get the seat and rest of the cooling system off, I had to drop the track.
The rest of the drive will also be coming out so I can put new bearings in there.

As you can plainly see, I will need to redo all the bearings and shocks in the skid.

The rest of the old cooling system coming out.

Then still more cleaning and some body repair needed for the front end and steering.

That was enough for today (3hrs) as it is getting very humid and uncomfortable to work out in my shop.
Time for several beers.

you really have that tore down!!

can you get a replacement track tightner for the back left of the skid?

a little sand blasting and that rear skid will look like new again!

check out hiperf.com they usually have some replacement shocks at a decent price.

The adjuster is OK, just the bearings are all shot.

Better ride than the sled the engine is coming out of, that's why.

It's going to look like a show piece when I'm done.
It will definitely be a one of a kind too.

Both of them are OK, just one has more PB Blaster on it than the other.

It's a '90 and it is going to take a lot of work.
I'll be surprised if it is ready by December.

I was going to ask this in my heat exchanger thread but i thought it would fit in your thread better. I am assuming you will be covering that big hole where the exchanger was? What are you going to use?

And i just realized when i asked what year the sled was.. It says on your title haha.. I completely missed that or something.

Ugh, I can't see pictures at work. Soon I will have pics of me making a mess of my Storm...that is when I can afford my new clutch kit.

Well, I got the hole filled in the tunnel (pics later) and now I need to fab a reinforcement for the steering post on the bulkhead.
Then clean the pan out and remove the engine from the other sled.
