Default Avalanche Classes coming up soon.

I missed it last year but rode with some pretty experienced riders in Cooke. I plan to attend this year and wanted to see if anyone else wanted to join. If you don't ride out west or don't plan to it is pointless the $45 fee might just save you or your buddy's life if you do plan to ride the mountains.

I better get signed up!! we had some snow overhangs on the deep ditchs or the monster 80 foot hill. I bet some of them overhangs stood out 2 feet or more. I know I know, sounds a little far fetched. but trust me man, there were times.

I mean look at how steep this hill is, I like to call this the orphane maker, its so scary that when it takes dads life for trying, mom has a heart attack just seeing what he tried. that 600 had all it could do on this monster, i am lucky to be here. I am proud to say i had no formal hill climbing training for this formatable foe. waist deep down at the bottom of wet and heavy snow.

Good post Cuzz, a class or refresher never hurts anyone, myself included. I'm looking for a more local one here in Gillette/Sheridan area. Also though I think I've posted it before, here some good links to good online info pertaining to Avys.

Cuzz where you at on this? I'm still trying to find a refresher class locally around Bighorns. I have added an Avalung to my gear for this year.
