Clean Carbs, change Hifax, Check carbides, chain crankcase oil, fill coolant and the gas tank....the BRAAAAAP.

Oh and change oil.

well... on a normal year we do this in the spring...

Remove clutches, clean, leave in belly pan with springs removed.
Remove Rear Skid, Clean, Grease, replace broken or worn parts, replace bad rivets in tunnel/footwell etc.. look at track and make sure no damage to the cords. take out shocks, replace seals and oil, recharge and re install. Replace hifax. re-install skid, but leave springs loose.

check coolent level and every other year replace.

clean carbs, put a little pre-mix oil in the bowls.

dump oil in the cylinders

check ski's and replace carbides if worn.

put blocks under belly pan, and tunnel extention so track and ski's are off the ground.

One of the worst things you can do trip650. Creates condensation in the engine and rust/corrosion occurs.

I don't think I ever "summerized" a snowmobile in the 15 years I have been riding.

It keeps the cylinders from rusting and keeps them lubricated. But hell, I may be wrong. I was just taught to do it religiously from my father.

I think you should start with that old iron. You dont want it to go bad, plus it only really takes 15 minutes.

I was going to go get mine out of storage but was over ruled by the wife....

All I do is change the chain case oil, clean the carbs, clean the clutches, put drive belt back on, clean and wax the entire sled. check coolent levels and add fresh gas.
